Hi,
Den in Toronto Ontario Canada. I am new to Amateur Radio. Got my certificate in August 2019. I have a lot to learn. Have a Baofeng UV-5R and I built a small 1w QRP "Pixie". Put up a 40m dipole which seems to work. Getting slowly better at CW (very slowly). I have been trying to connect to EchoLink through a local repeater with my handheld. (PTT enter * , wait for message, PTT enter xxxxxx) So far I get "connecting to xxxxxx - xxxxxx not available" on every try. Tried for Friday night's Overland Bound Weekly, no luck, "not available". On my computer, using Qtel on Linux, I get 'connected' but nothing happens. (I did get validated for EchoLink.) Great website! I'll keep trying. 73, Den VE3BQK Toronto ON Canada |
